Potential New Course to Play
I am on the mailing list for many of the courses we play and received this from Riverwood.
“The 11th annual Charlotte County Open will be held on Oct. 16-17, 2010 at Kingsway Country Club and Riverwood Golf Club. The two-round, stroke-play tournament will again feature a championship flight for professionals and amateurs and several amateur flights for men and women, including new 60-plus men’s senior flights.
Registration fees for the event include greens fees, carts, breakfast and lunch both days and a player gift. The championship flight fee remains at $175 and the amateur flights fee is $160. Entry deadline is Oct. 8, 2010. Entry forms are available online at www.charlottecountyopen.com or by calling 941-206-1133.”
I had not come across the Kingsway Country Club but thought if it is on a par with Riverwood it would be worth checking out. It’s location is about another 10 minutes down the I75 from where we would come off to go to the Bobcat, so it would take no longer than going to Riverwood. Kingsway Country Club boasts a Par 72, Eighteen Hole Championship Golf Course redesigned by world-renowned golf course architect Ron Garl following Hurricane Charley. 7,138 yards off the tips SS 75.2, Slope 142 suggests a very good test. Take a look here www.kingswaycountryclub.com and lets have some comments.
